What to Wear
"We have a very special environment at ONE Academy. We want each student that comes through our doors to feel valued and cared for and be challenged to learn and grow. ONE Academy was created to offer children an safe and nurturing environment to learn, grow, explore and experience the joy of dancing. We believe that each class should provide dancers with a solid foundation to build upon. Our teachers are carefully selected based on their training, experience, willingness to continue their own education and desire to pour their gifts and knowledge into their students. While dance can be a fun, and creative form of exercise for children, we also believe that each dancer should have solid training that they can build upon should they choose peruse dance more seriously.”

ONE Academy of Dance classes have a class uniform that dancers are required to wear to classes Monday-Thursday and for some performances.
The class uniform helps dancers know the importance of their time in class, gives them a sense of community and aids them in their learning.

ALL DANCERS SHOULD WEAR THEIR HAIR SECURED AWAY FROM THEIR FACE BOTH
FOR SAFETY AND TO PREVENT DISTRACTION.
A bun is preferred and is required for Intro to Level 1 and Level 1-7 programs.

Girls: Black ONE Academy Leotard, Black Bloch Wrap Skirt, Capezio Mesh Seamed Transition Tights in "Theatrical Pink" Boys: White ONE Academy shirt, Black Transition tights, Black ballet shoes BALLET 1 & BALLET 1-7: Girls: Black ONE Academy Leotard, Black Bloch Wrap Skirt, Capezio Mesh Seamed Transition Tights in "Theatrical Pink" Boys: White ONE Academy shirt, Black Transition tights, Black ballet shoes Dancers who have passed their GRADE 2 Cecchetti Ballet Exam may order a special ONE Academy of Dance leotard in AUBERGINE. Dancers who have passed their Grade 4 Cecchetti Ballet Exam may order a special ONE Academy of Dance leotard in TURQUOISE. PRE-POINTE/POINTE CLASSES: ONE Academy leotard & Capezio mesh seamed tights in "Theatrical Pink", black wrap skirt for performances and some classes, pink ballet shoes or pointe shoes once the dancer has been recommended for pointe by the teacher. Dancers who are recommended to start pointe training will be accompanied by their teacher to their first pointe shoe fitting. |
