  • The very best in technical and artistic training

3-5 Years of Age:
Creative Movement:
Introduce your child to the love of movement and music!  Young dancers will learn basic ballet and tap steps, increase their coordination and learn musicality as they explore their creativity through movement to fun, imaginative music.

Jazz 1 (5+):
Starting at 5 years of age, dancers may begin to want more movement experience. Introduction to jazz is a great class for beginning to further their movement vocabulary and teaching them a fun, upbeat style that they're sure to love!

6-8 Years of Age:
*We highly recommend that at this age, dancers take both ballet and a movement class.
Primary Ballet:
Dancers 6-8 years of age (5 years with 2 years of Creative Movement experience) are ready to begin learning the steps, technique and grace of classical ballet in a slightly more formal setting.  Students that begin in our Primary Ballet program are more technically prepared for formal ballet training as well as training in other genres of dance and excel more quickly.

Jazz 1:
This is a great age for dancers to begin to further their movement vocabulary, musicality and coordination.  We highly recommend that all of our dancers take a movement class in conjunction with their ballet class.  This not only diversifies a dancer's experience, but also helps them to grow in the technique and artistic ability more quickly.

Hip Hop:
Born on the streets of New York City, Hip Hop is a fun and athletic dance style that challenges dancers to strengthen their upper body, sharpen their movement and teaches them about dance as a community art form.

9+ Years of Age:
*At 9 years of age dancers will have the most success in their technical and artistic development if they are enrolled in ballet and movement classes.  For classes that will appropriately challenge your young artist, please contact us.

Ballet - Grade 1-6:
Ballet is the foundation of all dance and therefore is crucial to the technical, artistic and physical development of a dancer.  Our ballet program is a highly internationally respected program that ensures dancers are getting the best possible artistic and technical education.  Based on the Cecchetti Method for teaching Classical Ballet, students learn a set of exercises, technique, movement theory, French vocabulary, functional anatomy, musicality and artistry.  In each level, students prepare a set syllabus of exercises to present to examiners trained by the Cecchetti Council of America.  Students must pass each level before advancing to the next grade.  This ensures that students are both physically and mentally prepared for the rigors of the next level.

Jazz & Contemporary:
Jazz and Contemporary styles of dance emerged out of classical ballet to give the dancer new ways of expressing themselves.  Jazz tends to be upbeat, fun and a gives the dancer new movement vocabulary to help them to grow both as a dancer and an artist.  Contemporary is a style that is a mix of ballet, jazz and modern that is often expressive of an idea, an emotion or tells a story.  Dancers love the opportunity to use the technical training they've worked so hard for in ballet to move in a more personally expressive way.

Modern:
Like classical ballet, modern is a dance form that teaches the dancer technique, strength and artistic expression.  As dancers mature, this class is an excellent class for giving them yet another type of technical foundation that will translate into the professional dance world.  It also allow them to express ideas, tell stories, explore movement ideas and create pictures. Modern dance began influencing American Dance in the early 1900s and today can be found in dance pieces of professional Hip Hop Crews to Classical Ballet Companies.

Hip Hop:
Born on the streets of New York City, Hip Hop is a fun and athletic dance style that challenges dancers to strengthen their upper body, sharpen their movement and teaches them about dance as a community art form.

Musical Theater:
In this class dancers will learn to become a character through how they act, speak/sing and move.  This class will help dancers learn to translate their dancing gifts into a more theatrical setting.
