3-5 Years:
Creative Movement 5 Years: Dancers with 1-2 years of Creative Movement are eligible to begin Primary 1 Ballet. Other classes: Intro to Jazz, Beginning Tap, Jazz/Contemporary 1 **We have special parts in Nutcracker and our Spring Production for Dancers age 3-5. For more info: meredith@oneartsaustin.com** 6-7 Years: Dancers with 1 year of Primary Ballet may register for Ballet Primary 1 or Ballet Primary 2. 7 Years:
With a minimum of 1 year of Primary Ballet, Primary 3 Ballet, Beginning Tap, Jazz 1, Contemporary 1/2, Jazz 2 (with teacher recommendation),Hip Hop 1, *Production Company 8 Years: Primary 3 Ballet or With a minimum of 1 year of Primary Ballet, Grade 1 Ballet (with teacher recommendation), Beginning Tap, Jazz 1, Contemporary 1/2, Jazz 2 and Contemporary 2 (with teacher recommendation), Hip Hop 1, Breakdancing, *Production Company 9 Years: Grade 1 Ballet, Grade 1.5 Ballet (with teacher recommendation), Beginning Tap, Jazz 1, Contemporary 1/2, Hip Hop 1, Breakdancing, Strength/Flexibility/Conditioning 1, *Production Company |
Tap Dancers: *Teacher recommendation is recommended for these levels.
Tap dancers are highly encouraged to take ballet and or jazz with their tap classes. However, this is not a requirement. Those who take other styles increase their coordination, stamina, movement vocabulary and learn steps much faster.
Beginning Tap - 5 years+
*Intermediate Tap -must have 1 year of tap and be a minimum of 10 yrs of age
Advanced Tap - teacher recommendation required
**Ballet 1.5- Ballet 6 are by teacher recommendation only**
