Preparatory Programs
Our Preparatory Programs help dancers build upon our Foundations Program, in preparation to continue to grow and advance in their training. These programs are also a great place to start for "new to dance" students ages 7+ who are interested in trying dance.
ONE Academy of Dance is a pre-professional training school. All of our classes hold the level of instruction that dancers can build upon to move into higher levels of study. We know that not all dancers will choose to pursue professional careers in dance, but we believe everyone deserves access to the same high level of instruction. Instruction that is age appropriate for each individual dancer'ss growing body. We strive to teach dancers that caring for their bodies is an important part of both physical and mental health, as well as a key to a long and enjoyable lifestyle.
This type of training produces technically proficient dancers, self-discipline, respect for teachers, peers and parents, sustainable work ethic, consistency, and perseverance. Dancers learn these and so much more will translate into character development that will serve them in any field.

Beginning Dance

7-9 years
No previous experience required This is a wonderful program for dancers who are just beginning their dance journey or who want to dance but also have other activities. Dancers will begin their introduction to more formalized ballet including proper alignment, technique and etiquette. Additionally they will learn the fundamentals of jazz and contemporary dance which will advance their coordination, musicality, ability to learn choreography and increase their confidence. |
Ballet 1 Foundations

*with teacher recommendation or new student evaluation This twice a week program is for dancers who are ready to take their dancing to the next level. Teacher recommendation or a new student evaluation for new dancers is required for this level. |
