3-5 Years of Age:
**Classes are determined by the age of the dancer as of September 1, 2014.

Creative Movement (3 yrs and 4-5 yrs): *long hair secured in a bun
*Dancers must be potty trained.
Girls- class leotard info coming soon!  pink tights, pink ballet shoes, black tap shoes
Boys- black athletic shorts, above knee and not baggy, white fitted shirt/rash guard, black ballet shoes
Introduce your child to the love of movement and music!  Young dancers will learn basic ballet and tap steps as they explore their creativity through movement to fun, imaginative music.

Jazz 1 (5+): *long hair secured in a ponytail or bun
Girls- any color leotard or fitted, modest top, any color leggings, black jazz shoes
Boys- fitted shirt, shorts or pants, black jazz shoes (with elastic, no ties)
Starting at 5 years of age, dancers may begin to want more movement experience.  Introduction to jazz is a great class for beginning to further their movement vocabulary and teaching them a fun, upbeat style that they're sure to love!

NEW!! Beginning Tap (5+):  *long hair secured in a ponytail

Boys- fitted shirt, shorts or pants, black tap shoes (with elastic, no ties)
This is a class for the younger beginner.  Dancers are taught the fundamental steps in a fun and high energy environment that keeps them engaged and learning.  Emphasis is placed on correct rhythm, form, sound, as well as on the development of elementary improvisational skills.  Each student is also educated through discussion and the viewing of footage, in the history of the art form.


Primary 1 Ballet (5-6 yrs): *long hair secured in a bun

Boys- black athletic shorts, above knee and not baggy, white fitted shirt/rash guard, black ballet shoes
This class is designed for dancers of 5 years of age who have had 2 years of Creative Movement experience or 6 years of age who are ready for a slightly more focused environment and with more challenging steps and technique.  Dancers will begin learning more technical placement along with more challenging steps and movement sequences.
